If you haven’t yet realized that summer is a busy time, you haven’t read anything we’ve written. The main idea behind this is that if you’re planning a vacation and the hours are longer during the time you’re planning, it’s a sign that Disney expects larger crowds.
I’m happy to see Disneyland is back, too bad it’s the only one, I hope there are many, many places as many people are waiting for them to return. Also is the Castaway Cay Challenge still going on?

And if so, does that mean you can’t do both it and Disneyland 5K? Sometimes Orlando has ridiculously hot days, no one wants to be outside, not even park guests. They would rather be in the pool or water park than in the heat.
Free Disney World Crowd Calendar
These can be great days to enjoy smaller crowds if you come prepared. Plenty of water and a few cooling towels are highly recommended. Food and drink remains one of the main attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and there will be a few new items this year.
A few big new additions will be the fruity new DOLE Whip flavors available at the Snack Shack, including Watermelon, Mango, Pineapple, Strawberry, and Raspberry; an inverted pineapple cone at Happy Landings; and Grilled Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Pancakes at Leaning Palms.

Best Times To Visit In For Holiday Decorations
It would also be nice if AWD participants started right after the Disney Wheels athletes, not at the very end of the B fence as we have to do at Marathon Weekend in 2023. If you want to visit Walt Disney World to see the holiday decorations, there are still some days that are better than others.
Just be aware that even if they are “better”, they will be more intense than what you may have experienced on the same days in past years. Crowds at EPCOT will be crazy this year due to the new Guardians of the Galaxy opening over Memorial Day weekend.
This park has undergone and continues to undergo so many changes that we expect its popularity to continue to increase in 2022 and into 2023. Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments, but please don’t ask us to compare them with other crowd calendars.
Sites. We’ve explained the reasoning behind our calendar here and won’t comment on how other sites are doing things. Another annual event planned in the parks is the Candlelight Procession held in Epcot each holiday season.
Heavier Than Anticipated Crowds
It attracts large crowds who want to hear a celebrity and choir read and tell the traditional Christmas story. Names like Neil Patrick Harris and Whoopi Goldberg are just a few of the celebrities who came to attend.

It is a tradition and you can see when this event is held to join or avoid the crowd. If you plan to visit during a time of year when there is a cheering competition, dance or other sporting event, we recommend avoiding booking a room at one of the host resorts.
The main host resorts are usually 3 All-Star resorts (All-Star Sports, All-Star Movies and All-Star Music). We do not use a simple average to calculate the overall star rating and percentage star distribution. Instead, our system considers things like how recent the review is and whether the reviewer purchased the item from Amazon.
It also analyzes reviews to check reliability. With the return of the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, we’re also excited that runDisney will be re-presenting the runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge in 2024! Owned or not, they bring many people who bring their families to visit the parks. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is the epicenter of conventions held on hotel grounds. The rooms are filling up and the participants are filling the parks.
Swan and Dolphin Resorts also host many conventions throughout the year and are not the hotels we usually recommend. You can get event calendars to plan around. You can also find a general schedule of convention events for events in Orlando.
They can happen any time of the year, but there are a few in Disney’s book that are always planned and usually attract more guests to the resort. First up are the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Parties held at the Magic Kingdom.
Over the years, this event has turned into something… scary. It happens on multiple dates and basically pre-sells each one. It lasts from the end of August (pre-Covid) to October 31st. This does not happen every day of the week, usually 3-4 times and from 6pm to closing time.
This is a private ticketed event, so the park usually closes around 6pm-7pm for anyone without a ticket. However, the event does allow guests to enter the park in advance and tends to be busy. Party dates can be found by looking at Disney’s calendar of events.

In our experience, we think it’s fun to be one of the first, but not everyone feels that way. To achieve this, we are prepared to deal with large crowds and long waits. If you’re a regular visitor to the park who wants a fun vacation with fewer crowds, you’ll want to skip these activities by planning your trip before or after the park, or avoiding the specific park where it takes place.
Guests can also look forward to the return of Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, one of the water park’s top attractions. The largest outdoor wave pool in North America, the attraction uses cutting-edge technology to create controlled waves up to 1.8 meters high.
Guests have two surfing options – “open surf” for small groups of 10 waves or “private surf” for groups of up to 25 people. Crowd levels vary from year to year. What was considered “moderate” in the past is not the same as what is now considered “moderate”;
only “moderate” compared to the rest of the current year. Halloween is an interesting holiday because Disney celebrates it for months (it started at the end of August in 2019!). The holiday itself is a crowded day.
October usually sees larger crowds because people attend the less scary Halloween parties at the Magic Kingdom, but they usually just focus on that park. More in a minute. However, there are some weeks where this is not true.
The first 2 weeks of November are the only weeks that don’t really follow this trend. When the holiday decorations come out, the working hours are longer in the first 2 weeks of November, but we do not see crowds like Thanksgiving.
Sometimes, if you’re lucky, the first week of December is the same. Just kidding, we’ll explain this a bit more. We’re not sure why, how or when this started, but for Brazilian high school students (and Brazilians over the age of 15) it’s a rite of passage for them to come to Disney World when they graduate.

H2O Glow After Hours starts to glow on select nights from May 20 to September 2. The guest-favorite Glow Party allows guests to enjoy their favorite attractions under the stars for three hours (8-11pm) after the water park closes for guests that day, making it easier for everyone to access your favorite thrills from Typhoon Lagoon.
Tickets for the limited-capacity event go on sale March 3 on the Walt Disney World Resort website. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex property hosts several major sporting events such as NBA games (especially during COVID), D-League, cheerleading camps, and spring training.
There are also junior basketball, baseball, and softball camps held annually. They bring in hundreds of kids at once, who tend to stay at All Star Resorts and eventually head to the parks in the evening.

We highly recommend checking their calendar to see when they are. With Park Pass reservations for the parks selling out much more frequently than we’ve seen in the old days, we think they’re now trying to disperse the crowds, as Disney, if we have to guess, is back at full capacity.
In all 4 parks – something they’ve never done before. If the NBA plays its playoff games at Disney World again, the parks don’t tend to fill up because of these events, but Disney is cutting back some rooms for players, coaches, and their families to stay.
I don’t expect another “bubble” but anything is possible right now.

We mean the obvious times like spring break, holiday break, summer or even fall break like Thanksgiving. The last
big event brings us back to Magic Kingdom Park for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which runs from November to December.
Like Halloween parties, it’s held about 3-4 days a week and is a special ticketed event. The park will close early to guests and the days they are held are usually much busier than the others.
Festivals are big at Disney World, especially at Epcot theme park, which is home to the International Food and Wine Festival, the International Festival of Arts, and the International Festival of Flowers and Gardens. Food and Wine usually lasts from early fall to the first week of November.
This is probably the largest visited and has become a tradition for many Disney Park fans. The opening week and the final week are the two busiest weeks. Weekends starting from Friday to Sunday in this park are always busy with locals.
