If you would like your event to be considered for the Weekend Planner, which highlights events with a long description/promotion and an image and appears online and in print, you will be asked to write a 70-75 word description/advertisement of your event with a high
-Describe and attach resolution images (at least 500×500 resolution and at least 200 DPI). Due to space, not all events can be listed in the weekend planner. The Pass/D/Fail (S/D/F) option is intended to encourage exploration and experimentation in curricular areas in which the student may have little or no prior experience.
Students may cancel the S/D/F choice and choose a regular letter grade until the end of the 10th week of classes (Friday, April 7, 2023). There is some information required to list your event. This includes the name of your event (band, show, play, meeting, etc.), the address of your event, the time of your event, and the date of your event.

You are encouraged to fill out as much of the form as you can, but the information above is the only information that is absolutely necessary. Your event information will be processed by an editorial assistant who will enter the information directly into a content management system, where the information will then be listed online and in the Ithaca Times print newspaper.
Not all events listed will appear in the print edition – editors sometimes make last-minute cuts due to space, but your event will be listed online. Unlike dropping a course (when adding/dropping during the week at the beginning of the semester), withdrawal will be listed as a “W” on your transcript.
This will still appear on your course schedule but instead of showing as “Registered” it will reflect “Withdrawal”. If you decide to drop a course, please contact Student Financial Services for further clarification regarding tuition. You must register for an account to access the form, but that information remains private and when you list events, you do not need to enter any personal or contact information.

However, a contact number, email or website for specific events helps, but is not required. You can certainly attach a flyer, but you still need to fill out the required information, which will be marked with a red asterisk.
These required fields, as mentioned earlier, include the name, date, time and location of your event. Block I classes run for the first 7 weeks of the entire semester and Block II for the last 7 weeks of the entire semester.
Block classes have different deadline dates than semester classes; Be sure to review the calendar. If you decide to drop a course as a full-time student but fear that dropping would make you a part-time student, the credits will still be applied to your full-time status.
If you are an athlete, you need to talk to athletics. Always check with your faculty advisor and note your graduation date before withdrawing from a class. To withdraw from a class, complete the “Withdraw from Course” form in IC Workflow
Once the student submits the form, it will go to the Dean for approval or denial. If approved, the student will be notified by their IC email, and processed through the Registrar’s Office.
