Polaris Chronograph Worldtime The Titanium Polaris
First, the lacquered gradient blue dial hits the sweet spot. Not too dark, not too light, not too blue, and not too dark. Although the circuit is very dark, it is correct. It also features an easy-to-identify ‘QP’ dial with four sub-dials for astronomical enhancements.

Jaeger-LeCoultre is perhaps best known for its elegant watches, such as the classic Reverso or Master Control, but this interesting Swiss manufacturer also makes some terrific watches: the Polaris is a nicer, one of the lowest-priced diver’s watches on the market.
From the beginning, the Polaris collection was bold, with a diameter of 42 mm making it unusually large for the season. The indexes and Arabic numerals are coated with a luminescent tritium coating to ensure the best visibility even under water.
To Be Adjusted In
Three off-center crowns control individual functions and create the Polaris time legend. Waterproof up to 30 bar, the Memovox Polaris introduces a new compressor housing with three special layers and 16 holes to transmit good sound without compromising on water protection.

The Polaris Chronograph is slightly more expensive at around US$9,300. If you appreciate the functionality of a watch with an alarm function, the Polaris Mariner Memovox is the way to go – just make sure you have around $18,000 on hand.
A Micromechanical And Functional Fetish
Titanium, a simple alternative to stainless steel, is used in only one model in this collection: the Polaris Chronograph Worldtime. With a diameter of 44 mm, this watch is the largest in the collection. You can choose a blue dial (item 905T480) or a black dial (item 905T471).
Jaeger-LeCoultre offers a black version in light brown leather, while the blue version comes with a black leather strap. Like the Ingenieur, the Milgauss needs an upgrade. On the other hand, it remains an underrated choice that has a much better chance at retail than the rest of Rolex’s famous watches.
Sometimes these watches are so famous that we forget that these manufacturers make other watches – for example, Audemars Piguet makes more than just the Royal Oak – or maybe these brands have many different models, and let’s not forget some of the best.

Complex Yet Userfriendly

However, we still think this is an underrated dive watch and one you should definitely consider investing in. Announced today, Jaeger-LeCoultre has created a new version of the Polaris Date. Featuring a beautiful blue dial, the new Polaris Date Limited Edition borrows from Polaris’ previous catalog to create a contemporary Polaris that easily stands out from its black, lower-dial siblings.
The 42mm diameter case features Polaris’ key design codes: taut lines, thin bezels, cased crystals and an attractive combination of matte and polished surfaces. The transparent sapphire case back and the functional rose gold crown rotor highlight the elegant appearance of the movement.
Polaris offers a sporty take on JLC’s signature elegance, and the line debuted at SIHH 2018. While we’ve seen other Polaris models with blue dials, this limited edition is truly beautiful with a solid dial and no hands.
Perpetual Motion
. with two different staircases carrying a finish that combines the opal tones of the sun and the grain surface. With a date display and large markers that combine a trapezoidal shape with select Arabic numerals (see luminette image below), the Polaris Date Limited Edition maintains its sporty philosophy while rocking a vacation-inspired dial and a 70s recreation of the Polaris II.
On my 7-inch wrist, the Polaris Date wears well and feels like a solid sport on a rubber strap (which is good because leg width is limited by the 21mm strap). While the date display won’t be for everyone (JLC offers other models in Polaris without a date), the date window is simple, deep and easy to read as it shares the three o’clock position with a reduced marker.
With TL; The DR here is that there is
now a JLC Polaris Date with a blue dial, it is not a blue dial (even compared to the other blue dials in the Polaris line) and the blue dial is limited to sales in the North American market.
This is an unfair criticism, as rule 11.59 is really difficult. Sophisticated body design with thin floating legs; semi-double sapphire glass; A design that combines the octagonal design of the Royal Oak with rounded elements… This is a true watch for fans.
A Diving Legacy
Arabic numerals indicate 6 and 12 o’clock, long indexes represent the remaining hours. White SuperLuminova covers the hands and indexes, guaranteeing optimal readability in all lighting conditions. If you turn the watch over, you will see the signature caliber 751H through the sapphire crystal case back.
This movement has a 65-hour power reserve. To reference the origins of the Astronomical Events Calendar, Jaeger-LeCoultre features the phases of the moon here at 6 o’clock, with a refreshing Southern Hemisphere display modeled after its Northern counterpart’s display.
