Monmouth University Spring 2022 Calendar – Continuing students are encouraged to complete “early registration” for upcoming semesters and terms. Early registration for fall, spring, and summer semesters typically begins in April and ends in August. Late registration takes place during the first week of the fall and spring semesters;

students are required to pay the “late registration” fee when registering during the late registration period. Written approval of the appropriate faculty and department chair is required to register after the late registration period has ended.

Students are not permitted to attend classes for which they are not officially registered (as determined by the Registrar’s Office). If students leave without prior registration, they are subject to disciplinary action, including suspension and expulsion, and are not allowed to register “retroactively”.

Applicability Of Catalog

All Monmouth University students and submitting “Applicants” have access to the University’s student portal, myMU. These students are assigned a unique ID and password, which allows them to view personal student information and conduct personal student business over the Internet.

Continuing students who have met with their academic advisor and received permission to do so may self-register using the registration tool linked in the student portal during the registration period. Specific information on online registration dates and times will be distributed to all students prior to this period.

Additional important information regarding enrollment is available on the “Enrollment Information” page on the Monmouth University website. Online registration is not available to students on academic probation or current admission requirements. New students are invited to register during special programs during the summer and in January as part of their orientation to the University.

Late registration is available for new students, although it is less desirable than the method described above. Enrollment privileges are not extended to students with significant financial or other outstanding obligations to the University. These students’ records are set to “All”.

After the liability is resolved, registration privileges are restored. Course prerequisites are updated from time to time. Students should consult their advisor regarding the most recent record requirements for the courses they wish to take. Students should also consult their advisor when they wish to register for more than eighteen (18) credits per semester.
