To graduate a term, a student must apply for graduation by the deadline, regardless of whether or not the student plans to attend commencement.

The Graduate Catalog contains a detailed statement of graduate school policies and procedures, curricula, and costs, and lists graduate course offerings in various departments. Copies are available from the Graduate School office. It is online at catalog.niu.edu.

Questions about the regulations and their interpretation should be directed to the university guidance where the main student department is located. For non-undergraduate students, questions about the rules and their interpretation should be directed to the Academic Advising Center.
