Skip to contentPitt Academic Calendar 2021 – March 19, 2020: Due to the week dedicated to the transition to distance learning, the academic term – which is normally 15 weeks – will be shortened to 14 weeks of student effort. Pursuant to 34 CFR § 668.3 of the US Department of Education, the University requested a temporary reduction in the length of the academic year.
In preparation for receiving this request, it is recommended that teachers structure their curriculum for the remainder of the semester with the goal of achieving the critical learning outcomes of the course through normal student effort during the remaining 5 weeks of the original school year (including finals week

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Curriculum Committee consists of faculty and students who work together to fulfill this committee’s charter to monitor, control, and maintain the currency of the four-year curriculum. There are students chosen from each class who are elected members of this committee.
