The girls will get a break, but coach Rebecca Schackow encourages them to focus on the prize. With such a talented team, the next goal is definitely to finish first at the district level. As chief of staff of P.K.

A Yonge follower – meaning he attended school from kindergarten to senior year – Maxwell grew up attending annual events, which is a decades old tradition. When receiving a call from P.K. Yonge School Principal Carrie Geiger, who coordinates the program, said this was unusual.
“It is truly an honor and I see it as an opportunity not to serve as a mentor but to serve my students,” says Maxwell. “I take it very seriously and it’s great to be able to help them achieve a certain level of excellence.”
Blue Waves are no strangers to defeats, as their high-quality defensive play and stellar scoring ability have seen them score 10 goals this season. When asked about the team’s chemistry, senior captain Megan Brown described it as “amazing”.
It seems the older, more experienced players have a knack for helping younger players play with the team. “I’ve been on the team for five years, [Palechor] has been on the team for eight years,” Brown said.
