Prior to my appointment as a judge, I was a Pro Tem Judge in the City of South City, City Court for 13 years. I have practiced all over Arizona, in the United States Administrative Courts, United States District Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court, the Magistrates’ Court, and the Municipal Courts.

I am a licensed Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker with a background in taxation and accounting. I have served on the Arizona State Bar, Pima County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Federal Association, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.

I volunteered with the American Youth Soccer Organization as a soccer coach and referee as well as a board member of the Community Action Agency and the Manzo Area Council. I look forward to serving the community of South Tucson and maintaining the high standards of the City Court established over the years.

As a lifelong Tucsonian, I attended Salpointe High School and the University of Arizona, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Administration with a minor in Finance. I received my Juris Doctorate in May 1991 from Washburn University in Topeka, School of Law, with a year of training at the University of Arizona School of Law.

In 2017, I received my L.L.M from the University of Las Vegas, School of Law with over three hundred hours of continuing legal education in various legal studies.
