David Sonnenborn is believed to have seen more birds in Alaska than anyone else. As he got older, he followed less and enjoyed the local anchor scene more. He’s seen about 430 species in the state, but he hasn’t kept a close count recently.

Vnhs Named A National Magnet School Of Distinction
Van Nuys High School has been named a National Magnet School by America’s Magnet Schools, the National Association of Magnet and Theme Schools. MSA Merit Awards are presented only to the top group of magnet schools across the country.

Van Nuys Hs Journalism Students Received Several Awards At The State Competition
All beginners and experienced VNHS members are invited. Every year, thousands of tourists visit the isolated community of Churchill, located on the rugged west coast of Hudson Bay in northern Manitoba. They come to see the city’s star-polar bears.
In late October and early November, these animals begin to gather around the city, waiting to get out on the pack ice to hunt seals. However, ice, which is critical to the survival of these species, is forming later and melting earlier due to climate change.
