Wilmu Academic Calendar – TEAN has partnered with a US school of record, the University of South Florida, to provide a US transcript for in-person and virtual internships. Students participating in a full-time 8-week internship abroad will receive 6 higher grades.

We also offer special internship opportunities worth 3-6 upper division credits, depending on the number of practicum hours associated with the program. Credits awarded will be based on successful completion of the online course administered by the WorldStrides Higher Ed Academic team in collaboration with the School of Record.

Upon completion of the program, students receive an official transcript from TEAN’s School of Record, University of South Florida (USF). Located in Tampa, Florida, USF is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, specialist and doctoral degrees.

Academic Credit Through Tean

The USF transcript will reflect transfer credit for education completed in this program. Please contact your university regarding credit transfer. You confirm your place by submitting your registration code at the time of submission. Meanwhile, TEAN will work with you to provide pre-departure information, including flight booking information, visa guidance and home information.

The signed program contract and full program payment must be paid by the program deadline. Please note that we have options for using financial aid and enrolling in a payment plan if you cannot pay in full on time.

Acceptance

TEAN encourages participants to discuss academic credit opportunities with their universities early in the application process. Academic credits for internships must be approved and arranged before the internship begins, as they are usually non-refundable. Your 2-3 day Tokyo orientation is designed to prepare you for a successful career by introducing you to the local culture, including local business ethics and best practices, while providing plenty of time to learn how

you are almost there. TEAN friends and we have a fun ride in the process. After introductions and a delicious welcome dinner, you’ll have a city tour, hop on public transportation, and visit some of Tokyo’s local spots.

We’ve partnered with Arizona State University (ASU) to help you overcome common study abroad challenges by adding an ASU online course to your TEAN program. With over 2,100 courses to choose from, TEAN Flex reduces educational challenges, such as major requirements and limited course options, so you can get the most out of your experience abroad.

Payment Deadlines

Once you’ve applied, go to the Flex form in the TEAN Student Portal for more information about adding it to your schedule and enrolling in the course you need. . Participants can arrange funding for internships directly through their home university by talking to their education department and foreign research office.

At the time of program enrollment, students who choose this option are required to provide TEAN with credit information and any special needs related to job placement. Students are responsible for paying the university for any fees or charges associated with the loan.

After your initial conversation with a member of the TEAN Internships team, you will be asked to pay the deposit. Once your deposit is paid, TEAN will begin the job placement process. This deposit is fully refundable if you are not placed in a project.

Read the full internship refund policy. Even if you’re traveling abroad to intern, it’s important to take some time to enjoy the local culture. The TEAN internship program includes at least two cultural, technical or professional activities such as coffee shops or temple visits during your time in Tokyo.

Internship Placement
