Elements of art and principles of design are emphasized as students engage in art making, working in a variety of media such as drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage.

First, you will receive an email when an opportunity is added for your first registration. In this club, we will bring some of our favorite literature to life through art! On this trip, we will learn different artistic techniques and create works of art that your family will treasure for years to come.

(Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.) Our after school athletics program is designed to instill core values ​​and develop athletic skills in children. Each sport consists of 6 practices and contests with other Great Heart schools. Practices will focus on skill development to further improve their understanding of each game.

Medals will be awarded to the winning team at the end of the competition. Our primary goal is to have fun and grow as individuals during competition (Thursdays, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.) Spanish Club In 3-5, scholars can practice conversational skills and improve their Spanish pronunciation.

Scholars will apply what they learn during class and have activities related to the Spanish curriculum. Scholars will also learn more about the Spanish language, culture, and people who speak the language. (Tuesdays, 3:30-4:25) TechFun promotes technology literacy through interactive, game-based learning.

Students will be introduced to coding using our comprehensive, step-by-step coding curriculum. Participants will challenge each other’s knowledge by participating in high-energy educational programs that encourage communication and problem solving. Meet new friends, learn new skills and have fun!

(Mondays, 3.30pm – 4.30pm) PE Games will be a club that incorporates the games and activities we do in our PE programme. Students can also add skills used in PE lessons. Each time the club meets we will focus on a different PE game giving each student more time to develop their skills.

To be played: Castle Ball, Catch the Ball, Steal the Bacon, Dodgeball, Torpedo and Mines etc. (Mondays, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) Research from major corporations and universities has shown that tutoring can help students improve their math and verbal skills, as well as their creative and critical thinking skills.

! The K-2 Drama Club will focus on short, classic performances of Aesop’s Fables and Greek Myths. Students will learn vocal expression, body acting, set design, stage terminology and how to work with an actor to create the best performance.

All students will have a speaking unit. At the end of each term there are performances for parents to enjoy the magic and wonder of student theatre! The Running/Wrestling Club promotes physical activity before school which helps each student improve their health and focus during the school day.

Scholars will begin each morning with a dynamic warm-up, focusing on proper running technique. This year we will focus on agility and footwork to build more speed. The main goal is to encourage a healthy active lifestyle.

All participants keep track of the various moments they have achieved in the club. (M-F 7:00 – 7:30) This spring, we would like to offer a Drama Club for students in grades 3-5 led by Mrs. Carr.

Students will enjoy many plays and look forward to attending theater performances at the end of the fourth term. Performances will focus on improvisational theater that showcases students’ creativity and storytelling skills, quick thinking and stage presence.

Students will also gain an understanding of theater etiquette, conventions and history. Great Hearts Academy – The Golf Club at Archway Scottsdale is offered at your school during the fall/spring semester. The eight-week golf club meets once a week with a golf industry professional for an hour.

All participating families receive a weekly email detailing what students will be doing and learning in class that week. (Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.) Bricks4Kidz provides a stimulating environment for youngsters to build motor-driven creations and have fun using LEGO bricks.

The measurements are designed to spark imagination and build confidence. Fun for all students in grades K-5. Each session has a new theme and model. (Friday, 2:20 – 3:20) Tennis Club for all ages and levels.

Students will progress through our red/orange/green dot progression. Students will gain basic knowledge of teamwork, hand-eye coordination and the game of tennis. Missiles will be provided if necessary. (Friday, 1:10 – 2:10) This club presents the history of ceramics and provides an introductory level experience using clay as a fine art form.

Students will learn to create decorative and sculptural ceramics using scrolls, tumblers and other hand-craft techniques. Through hands-on exploration and experimentation, students will enjoy working with clay and gain confidence in creative expression. TechFun promotes technology literacy through interactive, game-based learning.
