It’s super cheap to make and I bet your recipients will love it! I’m having the same problem as mentioned in a comment before 2019, so I’m having trouble printing. Images are cropped, off-center, or scaled off the center of the page.
How do I solve this problem? thank you! The Little Giraffes calendar has been displayed here at Little Giraffes since the site’s launch in 2002. Many teachers have used it and it makes a great Christmas present for parents!
Flanagan, founder of Little Giraffes, adapted the handprint calendar idea from the page http://www.abc123kindergarten.com. In addition to this calendar, there is a moving poem written and shared by MS Meridian’s Amy Ethridge. She suggests using it as a second page or attaching it to the envelope you use to send your poems.
His poem and photo are at the bottom of the cover. If you’re using paint or stencils, be sure to have them near the sink and plenty of wet towels. I recommend planning to work on this project over several short sessions, especially if you use paint and each page needs time to dry.
Handprint Calendars Are A Perfect Way To Spend A Long Afternoon Between Christmas And New Year’s Eve
Paint the entire hand yellow. Have students point their fingers and toes in the same direction. Repaint and straighten your fingers to turn your hand in the opposite direction. Continue until the rays appear around the entire sun.

Introducing the Handprint Calendar! ? Print a blank 2023 calendar from Calendar Labs. Place one page after the handprint so that when turned over, the image and moon appear. For example, January calendar days should be attached to February, and February calendar days should be attached to March.

This cute calendar makes a great student holiday gift, but it can also be used for so many other purposes! This printable calendar is updated annually and covers two years at a time! I used 8 1/2″ X 11″ index paper for each calendar page and cover.
The original photo shows a small border of the poem and the small calendar is from the Chop Chop program. Updated print version with new clipart from A to Z Teacher Stuff. The children’s hands are tempera-painted and stamped on the top half of each page.

Paint your palms in one color and your fingers in another. (Don’t stamp your thumb!) Stamp the left side of the paper with your left hand. Place your right hand on the right side of the paper.
Once dry, use a black marker to center the butterfly. I use blue index paper for the background. Paint the four fingers of one hand white. Stamp in a circular pattern to create the main snowflake, repainting your fingers each time you stamp.
Then go back and place your finger on the first stamp in the shape of an X as shown on the calendar snowflake. My 3 year old grandson and I gave him 5(!) calendars for Christmas.

Stamp the paper horizontally. Your thumb will be the bottom fin of your fish. Use a marker to make a face in the palm area. Then, using string or thin string, pass the length of all three holes and close it like a book (it should open on the right side).
