Anthony Tran, 7th grader from Lomax Junior High, and Damien Hernandez, 5th grader from Leo A Rizzuto Elementary tied for second place! The board of directors of La Porte ISD unanimously approved the demand for a May 6 bond election on February 7.

ASBO International’s COE recognizes school districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. Students receive free tuition and books at San Jacinto College upon completion of an associate’s degree at La Porte High School.
Traditional dual credits are also offered for students who want to earn college credits while still in high school. Ten players received additional Academic All-District honors. The La Porte High School Academic Decathlon team performed exceptionally against some of the brightest teams from across the state. Amy Du is the 2023 TEXAS runner-up and received a $1,500 scholarship.
