Bismarck High School students were placed in a safe location by 12:30 p.m. Bismarck Public Schools said on Facebook that while police thoroughly investigated the building. Thursday’s calls follow threats at Minnesota schools earlier in the week. On Monday and Tuesday, schools in Albert Lea, Alexandria, Austin, Bemidji, Brainerd, Duluth, Ely and Eveleth were targeted by threats that appeared to be made in alphabetical order.
According to an email sent to parents, Grand Forks schools were placed on lockdown for about 15 minutes while police investigated a similar threat. A lockdown at Red River High School “was over before it started,” Grand Forks Police Department Lt. Dwight Love said.
